Written on October 29th, 2009 by taipanno shouts

These days, getting movie downloads from the Internet is a very viable alternative. This is for a number of reasons, and not just because of convenience but also because it tends to be somewhat cheaper and there is the largest selection at your disposal.

The DivX 7 player can be downloaded for free. You get much more than just a player the DivX 7 includes a DivX community Codec and filters, DivX player, DivX Pro Codec and DivX converter. The codec allows you to burn the DivX movies onto a DVD. The DivX player is very easy to use and has all you need to download and use high definition movies on your computer.

Google has formed a partnership with DivX making it very easy for you to download movies from Google. Google has done this to offer the best quality movies as well as creating one of the largest movie downloading sites online.

Another low blow dealt by the online movie industry is lack of censorship. Mum and dad no longer have a say really. They are at work and all a tot does is borrow/steal their credit card. China is almost just totally banning American content. Kids are now watching whatever pornography and or violence that they want!

One of the most popular movie download software is QuickTime. QuickTime is very versatile and can be used on Mac and Windows systems. QuickTime player is free to download though the professional version will cost you some $. With QuickTime you can download and watch movies, TV shows, trailer sand music. You also can burn that information to a disc or transfer the movie to a portable device.

Movie download subscriptions are available from a lot of companies and will enable you to download either a set amount of movies monthly or you can pay a set fee and download and watch as many movies as you wish.

DivX movie downloads are preferred as they are a highly compressed type of video file. A standard compressed movie will take up about 4. 6 GB of space while a DivX file is only 700 MB.

Downloading and watching your movies at home has some good advantages. For me, it’s not having to run out to the video store, plus the price over the course of the month, and being able to get my movie without standing in a line. Convenience is a big drawing card for most things online these days, and movie downloads are no exception.

Movie downloader 2. 1 is another movie downloading software that will search the web for that certain movie you are interested in. Those searching for a specific movie may find that it takes hours for them to search through the many links in these huge movie sites. You just type in the movie and the format you are interested in and a list of available links is provided and you can begin your download immediately.

Microsoft Operating In the Shadow Of Linux Puts Out Misinformation

It seems that Microsoft has been sending Best Buy workers so called “training” material that pretty much warps and attacks the Linux Operating system, according to an anonymous Best Buy worker. The material sent from Microsoft present very clear and sometimes true statements about the lack of support and people wanting a comfortable and light usage experience but also makes very two sided statements about other features and security. Many of them are conflicting claims such as Linux doesn’t get regular updates like windows and we all know thats not true, Then in another memo they state Linux is a hassle to maintain with accuracy because it gets “hundreds of updates” per month.

The claims also further exaggerated incompatibility and support on Linux, suggesting that “few” devices are supported, that things like video chat won’t work, and that there is no official help solutions for it. Linux does have support and supports common devices, including apps that can recognize iPods. Third-party apps like Pidgin provide support for video and other chat features, and Linux distributions like Ubuntu or Red Hat often provide official support. Ubuntu is also 100% free By the way.

For Windows-only apps, Linux has had access to WINE and Wine-Doors for free virtualization of some titles, including 3D games and works very well.

Microsoft has been asked about the materials but has neither confirmed nor denied their legitimacy. However, the handout is both consistent with Microsoft’s visual style as well as its frequent attempts to discredit Linux as a threat.

Microsoft is also known to have used wild claims to attack Apple through “Laptop Hunters” ads and other promotions that have often picked products to either create apparent gaps in value or to make them seem wider than they really are. One study paid for by Microsoft deliberately chose Apple’s Mac Pro workstation and the pre-price reduction MacBook Pro as home systems but chose Windows systems in significantly more modest product categories.

For those of us using Ubuntu or any other flavor of Linux its pretty apparent what the better operating system is or we would not have stuck with it. It would seem as Linux has evolved. Microsoft has become very defensive about their position since they have a lot to lose. I’m a very happy Ubuntu User I have no crashes my screens don’t freeze and I haven’t seen the Blue screen of death for well over a year my laptop runs as its supposed to and I’m just plain Happy with all the free software that is out there that does all the things windows can do and more.
